Mi nombre es Mary Orozco, I鈥檓 a native Spanish speaker living between Colima and Toluca in Mexico. I hold a Bachelor's Degree in Linguistics from the Universidad de Colima, and I also studied abroad in Argentina for one semester. Recently, I got my Master's Degree in Speech, Language and Communication Disorders, and I have a Certification in Game Therapy Training with an Humanistic-Gestalt focus.
I have been teaching Spanish since 2016, catering to students of all ages, including children as young as 4 years old. I love teaching kids because I think it is the best age to learn a new language.
My teaching experience extends to both individual and group settings, and I offer specialized courses for Teachers and Tourists, as well as general classes for everyone.

My passion for languages motivates me to provide a comfortable and enjoyable learning environment, and I take pride in teaching Spanish to those who wish to learn or improve their language skills.

After ending this, I would like to say that: I am a faithful believer that making mistakes is a natural part of the learning process. Don鈥檛 be afraid of failures.

Education

I have a bachelor's degree on Ling眉istics, I studied in Facultad de Letras y Comunicaci贸n de la Universidad de Colima from 2014 to 2018.

In 2016, I started teaching spanish as second language in a program there, that was a work as an intern. In there I learned and applied my knowledge in grammar, syntax, phonology, semantics, morphology and spelling.

In 2017, I went five months to Universidad de Villa Mar铆a, C贸rdoba, Argentina for an academic exchange.

In 2023, I received my master's degree in Speech, Language and Communication Disorders, it was mainly focused to work with kids.

Since I love teaching kids I also have a Certification in Game Therapy Training with an Humanistic-Gestalt focus.

Teaching style

Since 2016, I have taught Spanish to students from Belgium, China, Taiwan, the United States, Japan, Canada and Germany, most of the groups were made up of 2 or 5 people, and also I have worked individually to focus on everyone and give them specialized attention.
Their ages were between 22 years to 45 years. I taught them vocabulary lessons, grammar, speaking and also a bit of Mexican Culture to help them to understand some sayings and common words in my country.
Most of them arrived with an A1 level and left with an C1 in just six months, this was for a program in the University of Colima where I worked as an intern.

But I also have experience with kids, teenagers and adults using the same hybrid style where we can practice conversation, grammar, culture and everything around the Spanish language.

I would love to be a teacher of children primarily, but I am open to teaching all ages. And that鈥檚 why I like to be in constant professional development. In 2023, I was a Spanish Teacher for a Kids Summer Camp.

Hobbies

One of my hobbies is to read and to write stories, I also love watching movies and series. And I bake desserts everytime I have free. All of it makes me very happy.

I've visited or lived in the following countries: I have lived in Argentina while studying, and in Chile and Brasil as a tourist.
