Introduction

隆Hola! My name is Roc铆o and I am a native Spanish speaker from Costa Rica. I am certified to teach Spanish through the Tica Spanish School and the Instituto Cervantes. I also took college courses in teaching Spanish and Literature from the Universidad de Costa Rica.

I have been teaching Spanish to adults since 2007 in Costa Rica and since 2016, have specialized in online teaching. I specialize in teaching test preparation (DELE), Spanish for Business, Spanish for tourism, Medical Spanish, and Spanish for Teachers. I believe it is important to teach about culture and traditions along with the language.

Since 2021 I am studying a specialization in Teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language at the Technological University of Costa Rica (TEC in Cartago, Costa Rica).

Outside of teaching, I enjoy watching movies, reading a good book, cooking, and traveling.

Teaching style

During my lessons, you can learn and enjoy the language because I select the best material for each student. In my lessons, I prefer to use AV (audiovisual) and actual articles for conversation. I love to teach grammar and we will study and practice it. For me, the most effective method is when the student always has to use Spanish, this is the reason homework is very important!
